The Quest

A listening piece coupled to a bus tour at the interface of audio guide, happening/theater and socia intervention. The audience embarks on a collective and yet very individual journey through their home town (Langenthal CH). By means of wireless headphones, the perception and actions of the participants are guided by different voices and sound collages. During the 45-minute journey in the tourist car well-known locations shift and the the familiar becomes ambiguous. The tour ends in the forest, where the passengers are asked to leave the car. The bus drives away, the audience is left in the nature. Later seemingly random passing PKV’s give them a ride back to the city.
